In Los Angeles Jewish communities are being targeted by hate — the face of the new antisemitism unleashed after the 7 October 2023 Hamas atrocities in Israel.
Behind the hatred and robotic chants, and assaults in the middle of a Jewish neighborhood, is an uncaring new Democratic Party, according to the Gatestone Institute. An article was shared on Facebook, headlined, “What I Saw at a Terrorist Rally Outside a Synagogue.”
Chanting calls for the destruction of Israel, Jihad supporters in keffiyeh terror scarves occupied the entrance of Congregation Adas Torah (Congregation of the Bible) and then moved outward to target two smaller synagogues attended by Persian Jewish refugees who had fled from Islamic terror in Iran.
"Billions of us will come and kill you," rasped a Middle Eastern man in a keffiyeh at author Daniel Greenfield.
Not until an hour into the terrorist rally did the Los Angeles police step in. Officers struggled to hold back a mob of Hamas supporters who were attacking Jews and illegally blocking the entrance to Adas Torah Synagogue.
On social media, eschatologist author Christian Widener made an astute quote showing the level of depravity and abominable characteristics of Hamas. Dr. Widener pointed out how the October 7 massacre fulfilled Proverbs 6: 16-19,
“There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to Him:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that run swiftly to evil,
a false witness who gives false testimony,
and one who stirs up discord among brothers.”
Dr. Widener wrote, “On October 7th, 2023, some of the most horrifying acts ever captured on film were recorded by Hamas terrorists during their genocidal rampage. 1) They devised evil plans, 2) their feet ran swiftly to carry them out, 3) they shed innocent blood, 4) they did it proudly, 5) they did it deceptively, 6) they included lying reporters as witnesses in their attack, and 7) they took many hostages to spread fear and strife among the Israeli public (Jewish brethren). So, was October 7th an abomination before God? . . . Yes, it was."
The physical return of Jesus to begin his messianic reign may be very soon as indicated by lawlessness and other converging End-time signs.
The Bible teaches that before Jesus’s return, the world will be in a rapidly declining condition that will be far more dramatic than previous generations, coupled with the influence and control of a final world leader, the figure known in the Bible as the “Anti-messiah.”
About 150 years ago, one of the greatest theologians of the time, Bishop J.C. Ryle of Liverpool, England, wrote a book by the title, “Are You Ready For The End Of Time?”
Writing in 1867, based on a clear understanding of biblical prophecy, first of all, Bishop Ryle predicted that the Jews would be regathered as a separate nation and that they would be restored to their own land, and 80 years later, the miracle happened just as he, and of course, the Bible had predicted. And then exactly 100 years later Jerusalem was recaptured by the Jews, also as the Bible predicted.
Bishop Ryle surmised, and Scripture confirms, that the world will never be completely converted to Christianity before the end of the age comes.
The disciples whom Jesus referred to as wheat will grow together with weeds, the unbelievers, until the harvest. The earth will be in much the same condition as in the days of Noah, the days of the flood, as well as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Furthermore, Bishop Ryle wrote that widespread unbelief and wickedness are to be expected even though many today in the Church are blindly teaching the opposite—fancifully claiming that the Church will take over and dominate society.
“Kingdom Now” and “Dominion" theologians erroneously teach that the Church on earth will bring about the Kingdom Age before the Second Coming of Jesus.
Yet the Bible teaches the opposite —gross apostasy is prophesied for the Last Days and evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
However, rather than being discouraged, signs of growing apostasy and lawlessness should confirm our faith in the validity of the Bible rather than causing us to doubt the truth of the Second Coming.
Let’s not be shaken!
Our purpose is to gather out of the world as many disciples as possible, and the Gospel is to be preached as a witness to all nations, whether many or few embrace the faith. The longed-for Second Coming of Jesus is the great event that will conclude the present age, and for this every believer should pray daily, “Thy kingdom come!”
