Christmas has been cancelled in Bethlehem this year.
The Patriarchs and Heads of Churches in Jerusalem, an interdenominational council of bishops and pastors responsible for churches in Israel, announced the decision in a joint letter, as reported by Fox News.
Below is a sad screenshot from Facebook as churchmen bow to Islam’s rage:

Meanwhile, pro-Hamas protesters swarmed the tree lighting in New York City’s Rockefeller Center carrying swastikas and chanting for the elimination of Israel.
Let us pray that the devil will overplay his hand. As the historian Victor Davis Hansen wisely wrote this week:
"Just as Israel realizes that there is no living with Hamas killers, so the West is learning that it can no longer sustain universities that despise the culture that nourishes it or Middle Eastern immigrants, visiting students, and residents that use the gift of freedom and tolerance to promote their abhorrent anti-Semitism, violence, intolerance—and, yes, hatred of their generous hosts."
Since October 7 we've seen a new level of evil and reprobates. Pray that it will backfire.
This imposition of the will of protesters on a holiday event meant to be joyful is a taste of what life will be like when the restrainer is fully removed.
2 Thessalonians 2: 7, “For the mystery of lawlessness [rebellion against divine authority and the coming reign of lawlessness] is already at work; [but it is restrained] only until he who now restrains it is taken out of the way.” (Amplified Bible)
Maranatha!
No doubt some believers who do not like the celebration of Christmas will see the protest in a positive light despite the rudeness.
However, I see it as darkness attacking light.
Even if Jesus was not born on 25 December, many scholars believe the Light of the World was conceived on 25 December/ 25 Kislev during the season of Hanukkah, the Festival of Light.
Because of the horrific October 7 massacre in Israel by Hamas, we’ve seen just how evil evil really is.
I thank God that no doubt Jesus will soon intervene in this world with his Second Coming. Our sinless benevolent Lord will rule righteously for a thousand years. What a relief his government will be from the corrupt politicians and warlords.
In the meantime, until the Rapture, we must endure and be overcomers because the Bible tells us quite clearly in 2 Timothy 3: 13, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!" (2 Timothy 3:1-5 )
As the Jewish people will soon celebrate Hanukkah, the festival of light, let us pray for light to overcome darkness.
Jesus the Light of the World celebrated Hanukkah as we learn from John Chapter 10.
This December let us not be robbed of the joy of welcoming the Light of the World!
