Divine Illumination Vs. Growing Darkness

Less than 80 years ago, Jews were being slaughtered in Warsaw. Today, once again, Jewish people are being demonized with the language of ethnic cleansing.

Intercessors are interceding around the clock concerning Israel’s battle of extremely dangerous urban warfare against terrorism. 

Of course, we are praying for mercy on innocent Gazans, but also for exposure of all terrorists hiding in their midst. 

Especially our prayers are for the rescue of Israel's hostages who range in age from babies to very elderly men and women. 

We are believing for the Lord to send angels like the biblical rescues of Lot and Peter (Gen. 19:16; Acts 12:5-11), or to grant guidance to the IDF to free the hostages.

Intercessors are praying for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF's) effectiveness in destroying the huge underground tunnel system in Gaza with its hidden traps. 

Meanwhile, this is historic! The largest gathering of Jews and Christians standing together took place this week at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

“Israel, you are not alone,” Pastor Hagee asserted, “while the Jewish State faces the greatest danger since her rebirth 75 years ago, we pray for the people of Israel and the leaders of Israel. May God give you the wisdom of Solomon and the courage of King David and the victories of Joshua.”

What a difference between this peaceful rally and the hate-mongering protests of Hamas demonstrators with their angry flag burnings, defacing of property, disrespect and threats to anybody who dares to disagree.

The difference between light and darkness is so very clear. 

Israel's immediate goal is to destroy the main Hamas military headquarters reportedly located around, inside and underneath Gaza's largest hospital.

The IDF has reported the following,

“Normal hospitals don’t have:

· weapons hidden behind MRI machines

· bodies of hostages lying around their complexes

· terrorist tunnels and headquarters under them

The Shifa Hospital does.”

Jerusalem Pastor David Decker noted, “The financial cost on Israel's economy of this terrible war is expected to be over $50 billion, representing about 10% of Israel's Gross Domestic Product for the current fiscal year. This would be equivalent to America trying to sustain a sudden 2.5 TRILLION hit on the US economy. Please pray that God will help Israel recover from this economic blow as quickly as possible, once the Gazan war is finally over.”

No doubt Iran’s terrorist proxies Hamas and Hezbollah have been attacking Israel to try to sabotage the Abraham Accords. 

This past week my husband and I have been traveling though the wealthy nation of Saudi Arabia. Below is a photo from the Old Town of Jeddah which is being renovated while the New Jeddah is a sprawling metropolis.

The Saudis and other Arab nations have been engaging in an active peace process with Israel that will inject potential capital into the local economy.

Despite what they say in public, many Arabs secretly disdain the terrorist regimes of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah and Iran’s Ayatollahs. I know that some Arab leaders are literally praying that Israel will achieve a great victory in Gaza!

Most of the signs preceding the return of Jesus have already been fulfilled, but many doubt by saying these signs have always existed in past generations.

But they ignore the obvious major sign of the rebirth of Israel!

In the past 2,000 years no generation has seen the regathering of Israel until ours!

We must be very careful, because now the signs are very clear.

Believers should not be caught off guard flirting with unbelief or disobedience to the Word of God.

Somebody said dismissively to me this week, “The present war in Israel is the same cycle of violence we’ve always seen. They go back and forth all the time with these wars.” 

However, that person failed to read the signs of the times. The nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 that will attack Israel in the End Times are aligning right before our eyes. 

Do not allow ignorance of Bible prophecy to keep you and your church from understanding the times!

Thankfully the Gospel will prevail.

This week's prophetic portion read in synagogues worldwide contains a prophecy from the Book of Malachi that describes the universal impact of the Gospel: 

“For from the rising of the sun even to its going down My name shall be great among the gentiles. . .  says YHWH of hosts … for I am a great King, says YHWH of hosts, and My name is to be feared among the gentiles.” (Mal. 1:11, 14)
